There isn't any NPCC activites since the ATC so much of my time has been spend working for my parents and stoning in front of the computer screen. I will have turned into a walking 20th century fossil if not for several outings with my friends.
One of the time is the outing with Swiss NCOs at Lot 1's Pasta Mania on Wednesday night. I was invited to join in the farewell dinner Junqi and Shenghan who are going NS soon. Sheng han is going into Tekong in this coming 15 December while for Junqi he is going into SPF in the coming April 2008. Thanks guys for inviting me for your unit outing! I had fun with you guys and I really appreciated it. =) That is all for the outing and...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEI ZHONG!!...I know you had your paper yesterday so you didn't have much time to celebrate the day before. Haha, we will find one day to celebrate with you bah...haha...Score well for your paper! =)
Yesterday, I & Dinesh accompanied Alvin to apply for his part time job. Initially I thought that Alvin called us out to buy some sea coral at Lavender. Upon reaching the CCK control station, I came to know that Alvin intended to apply for a job at the JES. Inside the building, everyone is dressed in pants and covered shoes. I was the only OUTSTANDING person who is dressed in bermudas and slippers... We exchanged our ICs for passes at the counter and went up to the 24th storey where the centre is located. Once we reached the centre, I ended up applying for a job with Alvin since I am looking for one too. I had a pretty awdward time trying to ignore the staring from the surrounding people who were looking at my Outlandish attire. Thanks a bunch Alvin...=.= The whole process which includes the filling in of particulars and interview took about 45 minutes.
After which, we have had our lunch at the hawker centre near JEC. Alvin and Dinesh ordered a plate of Prawn Mee and Char Kway Teow respectively plus a plate of Hao Jian which I promptly refused when offered. I have enough of those unpleasant experience on Hao Jian =Xx... Instead I prefer to have my glass of ice lemon tea since I have already ate before I came out. =)
Once the plates are empty, we accompanied Dinesh who wants to buy a battleship model inside the JEC. We then took the train back home to CCK and along the way Alvin dropped off at Bukit Gombak for his driving lesson. At CCK, I and Dinesh chatted about our individual issues while waiting for his bus 307. I have to say there is much food for thought in store for me. More or less...I am arriving to a conclusion. We chatted about 20 minutes and his bus came. We went our separate ways and once i reached home, I switched on the computer and started stoning again........LOL! funny right!? =X
Haha...I am looking forward to more actvities this weekend. One of them is the Sec 2 ATC outing at East Coast Park which Faizal invited me to go. Looking forward to cycling again...haha.
I guess that is all for today, cya then!

Manuel - No Control
Fight is over
I wanna go and slow down
Love for ever
Like a dream......I'll never get!
I wanna open the door
And I sit on the floor
'Cause I'm waiting for you
What are you looking for!
Don't let me explode again tonight
Oh no!
I've gotten no control not at all
'Cause you make me feel crazy now
You're gonna break me down
Oh babe no control in my soul even in my mind
Nobody knows what I feel
Some kind of no control not at all
'Cause you make me feel crazy now
You're gonna break me down
Oh babe no control in my soul even in my mind
But if you call I'll be fine no control
Night is over
Don't wanna see you last time
One more, babe
Gimme one more little chance

Hihi!! It has been a period of time since i blogged as I have just returned from my ATC (Area Training Camp) yesterday. I have to say that this camp was pretty fruitful and fulfilling for me...haha. =) Though many things happened during the 3 days, everything ended up all right in the end. Through this camp I have worked with several teachers plus the instructors and it was a great experience knowing them. As for the secondary 3 cadets, I have to say it was pretty fun interacting with them...haha.
I have to thank my group 3 (3roes) for understanding why i can't accompany them throughout the camp. You guys are great to be around with and congratulations for building the best raft in this ATC or should I say... several ATCs? You have clearly demostrated great teamwork among yourselves! Congratulations. I am proud of everyone of you all and I hope whatever you learnt in this camp, you will apply it in your unit and build it up. =)
For myself as an instructor and a new 1st aid officer, I learnt much by working with the teachers officers and other CIs. It is my joy being able to work with you all and learnt things i might not have learnt outside this camp. And Thanks my very lau jiao seniors...Zhurah, Dolph & Wee Chong for offering your valuable feedbacks! I will keep them in mind. All these reminded me that there are many more things in store for me to learn and I will strive for it! haha.
Anyway after reaching home at around 3 plus I bathed and logged on the computer for while. After that, I set my alarm to wake up at 6.30pm. But I OVERSLEPT despite the alarm....by the time I woke up it was 9.30pm. Once I woke up, I msged Sok Theng my well wishes for her Australia trip and ate my dinner. After dinner, I logged online at around 12am and realised it is both Terence and Kang Qi's birthday today! I send them my well wishes via friendster and msg respectively. At Around 1.30am...I started to feel tired again and I went to sleep till 10.30am. In total I slept for around 17hrs! Which means I am a pig...lol. =X
Hmm...I guess I got nothing else to put in for now. I will be meeting Dinesh for dinner later to catch up with him since I have not talked to him for the 3 days. Haha, too bad Alvin can't join us since he got his own Red Cross Youth camp till tomorrow. Below are some pictures taken during ATC. I will upload more of them once i receive them...Cya then~! =D

Do you ever have the experience whereby someone told you that you have changed alot? I am sure most of us do. It happened to me recently when I went back to see Ms Wai for the planning of UOPA activities early this month. I can't remember what leads to this conversation but it sounds like this. "Joo Teng although I have never taught you before, I heard from your previous teachers that you have changed alot." "Huh? really...like how?" I asked while trying to figure out who are the possible teachers who told her. "Well...it seems that you were very quiet and withdrawn but now you have became very much vocal and outgoing." After hearing her reply, I started to recall what I was during my secondary school days and what I am now. Indeed, the Joo Teng in 2005 was a very quiet student who prefers to stay in the shadows and knows nothing except studying. To the teachers now, I am someone different who have became very vocal during NPCC trainings and took the lead in organising unit events. Very often, I always engaged in small talks with my ex teachers (Mr Lee, Mrs Lee Ham, Mrs Ooi, Mdm Koh etc.) and talked at their level. All these I will not have done it during secondary school.
What caused such great changes in me? I suppose the schooling in MI and shouldering responsibilites as the only CI caused great changes in my preceptions and attitude. Though these changes can be good but like everything there are pros and cons. I have lost something which I took for granted in secondary school which is innocence. Sounds wrong?...Sometimes I wonder if life will be better if one is ignorant of the problems surrounding he/she. Most likely he or she may be much more happier?
Anyway...I am not being "emo" hahaha!...This is just food for thought. =)

Pretty much had happened since the last time I blogged. And I am glad to declare that the stressful period of project work and examinations are over and I can take a breather for now. Yes, just a breather...though school is over, there are many other events coming up in NPCC and it is'nt helpful when Dean ended up not going for D07 afterall. Yup...AES has officially missed 3 batches from CI since J06. Once again I find myself alone facing a mountain load of tasks at hand for the 3rd year running. Oh well....I have keep things positive or I might get a depression! haha..=)
Not everything is as bad...and there are quite a few bright spots in my holiday life! I am back in NPCC again after 2 months by training my secondary 2s to plan for the open house. Besides that I helped HGSS for their sec 1 hike at Bukit Batok Nature last Saturday as well as the open house. I am very glad to say I throughly enjoyed the activities with the secondary school students! Though planning may be a tedious process, the effort is definitely worth putting in when they learnt something from it. Being with secondary school students makes me feel happier and relax. These are not things which I get to enjoy much in tertiary education.
CCA aside, I have to say it is really exhilarating to be back with my buddies (Alvin, Dinesh, Mun Yew & Clifford) again. Since the holiday started, I am back to swimming with them almost every Saturday at HTA. Our steamboat session at Marina is back after a long time and we are hanging out late again! I hope there will be more of these outings to come. I am hoping to go Zouk Out with them when I hit 18 towards the end of this year.
Recently I am back to basketball after a long time since Secondary 4 and now I am addicted to it. In the past I played basketball for the sake of playing it. For the 1st time in my life I am actually taking a sport seriously. I will continue to work at it till my skills reach a satisfactory standard and hopefully I can hold my ground in the court. =)
Oh well...that is all for today and hopefully there are more events to come during this long holiday. Lastly I hope to share with you the pictures (refer to below) which were taken during the past weeks of holiday. Cya then...
